Nourish up to 40 young athletes this summer by providing food and supplies for an entire week of camp. CKDC carefully selects local restaurants and catering companies to partner with for our meals so that we can support other small businesses while they support our students. With so many of our campers attending on full or partial scholarships, we’ve seen the impact of food insecurity on a child’s ability to learn and be active. Beginning in 2015, we started offering meals at camp and it has made an incredible impact on our artist learners. In addition to breakfast, lunch and dinner options, your contribution will also provide our campers with the supplies they need to be successful in completing all their camp projects. A portion of your gift may also contribute to the salaries paid for our teaching artists and guest artists at camp for the week. Our artist educators work hard to cultivate a positive and safe learning environment for all who attend camp. Last, your gift also ensures that our students have appropriate dance/fitness attire. If we identify a student who has a need, we discretely offer them new and gently used clothing for every day of camp that they arrive unprepared. These students keep the clothing, which can be used for everyday activities, like going to school. Your gift can give our students a transformational gift that keeps on giving.
