Empower young artists’ interested in advancing to careers in the performing arts by ensuring access to specialized training 

CKDC’s Summer Dance Intensive is an opportunity for young dancers and choreographers to dive deep into their passion in seven full days of workshops. Many young dancers believe that once they leave the stage their career in arts ends, but our Summer Dance Intensive not only prepares them for a life as an athlete, but their life beyond the limelight. Candidates will learn about arts administration, injury prevention, pedagogy and nonprofit arts management. Pre-Professional and Professional artists alike gather for this seven day celebration of choreography, bodywork and professional development. Our very own CKDC artists both host classes in areas where they are experts and take classes from their peers alongside our guests. The Summer Dance Intensive builds community within our dance community in St. Louis. Your contribution can ensure that all students who are on track for professional careers in dance, including those who may be experiencing a financial roadblock, have access to this unique and well rounded training experience.
